Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL Scholarship 2027 (Fully Funded Master's)
A fully funded two-year Erasmus Mundus master's across top universities in Europe, Japan, and Colombia. Full tuition, insurance, and €1,400 a month. Open to all nationalities. Apply by January 14, 2027.
What is GLOCAL?
"Global Markets, Local Creativities" (GLOCAL) is a two-year international master's degree taught by a consortium of seven world-class universities. It's co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters program.
The program looks at the history, theory, institutions, and cultures of global capitalism. Students get a strong grounding in international business and the global economy, and learn to think critically about the roles of individuals, firms, cities, regions, and nations in shaping the world.
Learning goes beyond the classroom, with case studies, masterclasses, guest lectures from business and public sector leaders, internships, consultancy projects, and a summer school.

Who can apply?
- Students from any country in the world can apply for the scholarship.
- You must first receive a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Glasgow, the lead university.
- You must not have received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship before.
- Check the official entry requirements page for degree and English language requirements.
To keep the cohort balanced, no more than six scholarships are awarded per nationality across the program's four intakes. Up to 20 extra scholarships are reserved for students from certain regions of the world.
What does the scholarship cover?
- Full tuition fees, including the deposit
- Full insurance coverage
- A monthly allowance for the full two years
- Optional travel and installation support for visas, residence permits, and temporary housing
You can choose one of two payment options:
- Option 1: €1,000 paid three times (August, May, and September) to help with travel and setup costs, plus €1,275 a month for two years
- Option 2: €1,400 a month for two years, with no separate travel payment
How are scholarships awarded?
Applications are ranked based on:
- Personal statement: 40%
- Academic merit: 30%
- References: 10%
- Other experience, such as research or work: 20%
How to apply
- Choose your preferred study track and partner universities.
- Apply to the GLOCAL program through the University of Glasgow application portal.
- Get a conditional or unconditional offer, and make sure all your documents are submitted.
- Complete the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship application form.
- Submit everything before January 14, 2027, 1:00 PM UK time.
Simple tips
- Apply to the program early. Your offer must be ready before the scholarship deadline.
- If your offer status is still "holding for documents" at the deadline, you won't be considered, so submit all documents well ahead of time.
- Put real effort into your personal statement, since it counts for 40% of your score.
- Ask your referees early so their letters are strong and on time.
